GMD develops intelligent solutions for natural hazard prevention. By combining smart sensing, IoT, machine learning, and real-time data analysis, relevant changes are detected early and evaluated reliably.
Our USP is the seamless integration of sensor technology, data analysis, and intelligent software into a holistic solution. Continuously recorded data is translated into precise information for early natural hazard detection.

Founded in Innsbruck
GMD® GmbH was founded on February 7, 2024 in Innsbruck. Right from the beginning, the focus has been on developing intelligent monitoring solutions for the early detection and prevention of natural hazards.

April 17, 2024
Lighthouse Project Kufstein Fortress
On April 17, 2024, GMD implemented its first landmark project together with the City of Kufstein and the State of Tyrol. 20 sensors were installed at Kufstein Fortress to monitor the historic site. A rockfall monitoring concept developed jointly with HTB Baugesellschaft m.b.H. has since ensured the highest safety standards.

Versatile Portfolio & GMD Swiss
Today, our portfolio encompasses rockfall and rockslide monitoring as well as solutions for flood, slope movement, and accurate crowd flow counting. With numerous successful projects and the founding of GMD Swiss GmbH in Landquart (CH), the company continues to drive data-based natural hazard prevention forward across the entire DACH region.
